Unfortunately, this article is behind a pay wall. I wish it weren’t, since this is important public information.
Finally, we are hearing from a prior MDOC staff member who describes and verifies some of the atrocities that we have heard from our loved ones during the pandemic.
We need independent oversight of the entire MDOC administration, and we need it now.
These failures are not only happening during the pandemic, they are systemic and long standing.
Why are we so afraid to hold them accountable?
MDOC needs a total overhaul and it’s long past due.
