My Son has spent almost 2 months at different hospital. Ended a month at Dwayne Waters. For a month I didn’t know where he was.
I was calling Handlon daily, and they would tell me he was there but couldn’t call or Jpay. Last call I had gotten from him was Nov.17, he sounded very sick. He could hardly talk. It was not until Dec.9 he was able to call me from Dwayne Waters he had just been transferred there. He was there until Friday the 8th of January transferred back to Handlon.
He is still not doing too great, but doesn’t want to tell anybody, because he doesn’t want to go back to hospital. He says all they did was keep him in oxygen. At the end they started giving him cough meds. And nothing for pain on his lungs.
They told me at Dwayne waters he had lung damage. I didn’t think it was right for Handlon to be telling me he was alright, when he wasn’t even there. They even told me I could order his secure pack. Lol .Right now he hasn’t even given him his property. He was taken away in an ambulance unconscious. So he didn’t even get a receipt for all his personal property.
I been calling there to the property room all week but haven’t yet spoken to anyone. Left message once but of course no return call. His counselor told him have family call. He went to property room himself and they told him there was no record of his property. So otherwise tv,radio,books,watch,food n clothes all seem to have just disappeared. His counselor doesn’t seem to be of any help.
I know they are not getting the help they should be getting. He asked for a mask they couldn’t even give him an extra one so he can wash the one he has, since he has been coughing into it for days.
